The Villa Infantil de Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe y San Jose A.C. is able to provide a home to the thirty five to forty children who reside amongst the two orphanages located in Guadalajara and Jocotepec, Jalisco Mexico.

These shelters above in Jocotepec, Jalisco are home, school, and playground to their little inhabitants. The sisters volunteer their time to make these shelters a home, and they teach, feed, and clothe the children day after day.

Mother Magda L. Garcia’s purpose in life is to “turn the children’s tears into joy.” She leads the other sisters in their care for the children. Here she is pictured with one of the many babies who reside in the orphanage.

Though the nuns who run Villa Infantil are Catholic, the Catholic Church does not fund the orphanage. Instead, it is an entity of the state and relies on donations from kind hearts to keep its programs running.
